From Our Newsletter: Broadmead Friends Join Blessings of Diversity Program

Broadmead Friends were glad to take part in a recent Blessings of Diversity program sponsored by the Multifaith Council of Northwest Ohio. The March gathering, hosted by the Buddhist Temple of Toledo, brought together representatives from nine faith traditions for an evening of readings, music, poetry, and shared reflection on the theme “Spirituality in Everyday Life.”

Broadmead’s Shelley Kotz offered a reading from Isaac Penington’s “Give over thine own willing,” followed by a singalong of Pete Seeger’s “Study War No More.” Several Broadmead Friends attended and found the evening uplifting and enjoyable.

Broadmead has been connected with the Multifaith Council for many years, joining with others in the Toledo area to encourage compassion, understanding, and cooperation among different religious communities.
